Hello World,

My project I have been working on is Roses. I have been painting a rose a day. It took me about 30-40 drafts before getting the hang of painting a rose but I think I finally have it…Here is one I painted that I feel is what I have been trying to accomplish. But still trying to get it at different angles. If anyone out there paints roses feel free to give me some tips to make mine better! Good night!

Hello world,

Sorry I am sooooooo bad about not writing regularly… I do stay busy doing this and that! Have done one piece of art since my art show last weekend it was a larger piece than usual. Have also been working on new site at www.askart.com. It is totaly for art, no craft stuff. Put some of my older art on the site plus a few new ones to see what they would do. Will let you know how it goes.

I love to hear success stories about people making a living from their art as I hope to one day do. I love painting but also love that people love my art enough to want to purchase it for themselves to enjoy. If you have a success story please blog me to give me encouragement to move forward with my art.

Hello World,

I have been soooooooo busy… that is why you have not heard from me. I know, NO EXCUSE! Will try to do better…

I have been getting ready to do a show. I want to move all my old inventory out so I can feel free to start getting my new stuff out. Right now I am doing elephants. I have always loved them for many years since the 70′s and now I love painting them! These are very simple colorful watercolor or acrylics paintings. I have also gone to smaller sizes. From ACEO up to 9×12. I have never painted elephants until now. Can you believe it? Guess there is a time and place for everything and now is the time for ELEPHANTS! DUNG PAPER It’s not just Elephants Dung!

Hello World,

Well I did some surfing last night and I was right I had seen other dung than elephants dung. I found Panda Poop….but could not find any place to purchase it. If anyone knows where Panda Poop Paper can be purchased please blog me. I thought I had seen another dung on the net so will keep surfing and will inform you when I find out something.

Several years ago who would have believed we would be buying dung???? I don’t know how long it has been on the market, if anyone knows that answer please blog me.

Just got my ac back in my art studio so will be able to function again. It has been so hot! Will let you know what my next project is with elephant dung paper, since that is all I have right now…

Well I have had a very busy week! I have set up my Elephant Dung ART on my website www.recycledobjects.com. I have chosen to name it DUNG PAPER DESIGNS because I think I have seen other Dung paper on the internet other than elephant. I will research and blog the info I find soon.

I will have art as you will see on my site but am anticipating making other things. Check out my site often to see what I “Design” with my Dung Paper! You will see I have 5×7 and 8×10 sized art I will be having on the website soon.

Believe it or not…this is a very pretty paperI know this sounds awful but before you go to another category just read the history of this wonderful recycle story: The elephants of Thailand are in distress. As the last centenary continues to fade into memories unfortunately so does the economic need for elephants.

This time 100 years ago there was over 100 000 domestic elephants in Thailand. Used as the heavy lifting equipment of the day, these elephants hauled the precious teak wood to sell to The West, they worked on the farm hand in hand with farmers to put food on plates, they helped build bridges, houses, railway lines and in Military service along side human soldiers helping keep Thailand independent.

Sadly the glory days of the elephant have gone. With the invention of better and better machines and the outlawing of logging in 1989 there has ceased to be an economic place for the thousands of elephants.

In the past many owners were forced to beg for food with their elephants on the streets of major cities and a few elephants can still be seen on the streets of Bangkok today.

Estimates vary and experts disagree but there are roughly 6000 elephant now in Thailand.

Fortunately there are now many tourists that now visit Thailand and seeing elephants is near the top of their list of things to do. There are many tourist camps providing necessary jobs to elephants and their keepers.

Elephant Dung Paper contributes to securing the future of the Thai elephants. It provides another necessary income generator that helps to feed and care for these majestic creatures.

The simplicity of the idea is remarkable. The dung is collected of elephants, it is turned it into paper. It is then sold and the return profits goes to feeding and caring for the elephants.
